Day 122
I awoke at 7am, grabbed a broom and pan and swept the room that I am staying in. Then mopped it.
Then breakfast, toast, butter and marmalade plus Lipton's Yellow tea. I did a little work on the computer, but with no air conditioning it is hot in there so I cannot stay long.
I was so tired that I rested.
I wanted to walk out to Jungle Burger for lunch, but my brain and body are very tired, so I may just make a banana and cinnamon omelette here instead. Okay a nice cuppa then.
It's odd how the plastic lid to the kettle just fell apart. The whole lid fell off the stainless steel Otto kettle, then just fell apart like a black plastic jigsaw puzzle. I could see that nothing was broken, but I ended up with four parts, including a spring. A spring, why a spring and where does it go?
It has taken many puzzled minutes but eventually, after one or two false starts, I've snapped it together. It's fine now. But how odd.
I haven't been out today. I've been too tired, and I wanted to save money and finish up the little food I have in the small refrigerator. It's not a lot, just a small packet of rice left over from Sunday, there's also some eggs and a couple of potatoes. I can sauté diced potatoes, add the rice and scramble a couple of eggs. With a dash of fresh coriander it should be okay for dinner.
In the end I was too lazy to peel potatoes with a knife, so left that out. The meal was okay, but, still hungry, I made toast and marmalade.
After yesterday's brief chat with the Chinese visitor, I looked online to see if there were flights to Malaysia. There's not. So I am still exiled in the Land of Smiles. I still await flights, and Malaysia opening to tourists. It's been four months that I have been alone here with no respite in sight. It is depressing.
