Day 133
I awoke about 6am.
I had a pleasant surprise waiting for me when I came back from showering.
Outside my room door was a small blue plastic stool. The staff and students use them to sit on. On the blue plastic stool was a green bowl covered by a small white plate. On the plate was a small baguette (baton) cut in two length ways and smeared with butter. It was the same sort of baguette I have at the Psar Cha Restaurant with bacon and eggs. Inside the bowl was a mixture of cellophane noodles pork cut small and what tasted like pilchard. I constructed the 'Num pang' and it was the most delicious breakfast ever.
With the baguette, on the plate, was a yellow sticky note, it read "Enjoy breakfast grand pa".
Today I had time to launch my special issue of The Blue Lotus magazine (22). As always the response is slow. Still I believe it is a good issue. Once again bringing out more artists from Asia. One day my work will be recognised after nearly 10 years. The magazine is not profound, nor academic, but reveals Asian art in a way that is easy to access. I think that I've done well constructing this issue from nothing, totally alone, with no access to my files for reference and no template.
Lunch was something a little more mundane - yet another banana sandwich. Dinner was cornflakes followed by two plain yogurts, and tea. I allow myself tea, but not coffee, not yet.
The Saturday 'Project' was okay.
