91days here
This bloody app is crashing again. Most inconvenient.
7am and I am awake.
I shower, shave and breakfast on toast etc.
Now to prepare for the 10.30am class. Woo that is early.
Yesterday I was too busy to write much, and so did not complete my 500 daily words. Ho hum.
I am presented with three red Dragon fruit. These are, quite possibly, the smallest ripe Dragon fruit that I've seen.
It is such an interesting experience working alongside another teacher. It is the first time that I have experienced this. They, the intriguing they, say that there is a first time for everything, good or bad. I was audibly working with 'B' (the Founder), that is to say he was in the US of A, while I remained here in Cambodia. What a unique experience.
It was wonderful to have another opportunity, this week, to work with this group of funny, bright, and altogether endearing group of young Khmers. I relish every opportunity to learn from them.
I eat said Dragon fruit for lunch. Hmm yummy. They are one of my favourite fruits. After teaching in the non air conditioned room for two hours, I am too hot and tired to go to Thai Huot Market today.
5.20pm and Kosal brings me a bowl of chicken soup with bamboo shoots with rice. It is quite delicious too. I feel quite guilty that I had no time, nor energy, to cook for them today.
When I finally get back home, I will try to make this. Most of the Khmer food, except, perhaps, for some specific herbs, can be found in Malaysia, like lime leaves and lemongrass. Before I leave I need to get the Khmer names to the dishes that I have been given here.
No expenditure today. I didn't go out
